CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL 2020 – 2023

As COVID-19 began to spread throughout the country, thousands of organizations from elementary schools to retirement homes suddenly needed to roll out laboratory-style rapid testing. But they didn't have the infrastructure to ensure those test results went to the public health departments that needed to track the spread of the disease. SimpleReport enables those organizations to report test results without the burdens that come with traditional medical records systems.

Telehealth.HHS.gov
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICE 2020

At the beginning of the pandemic, it became clear that the way medical care was delivered in the U.S. needed to change, and fast. The CARES Act that was signed into law in March 2020 made it clear that access to telehealth was a priority in the national response to the pandemic. Under tremendous pressure to get critical information around telehealth to the public as quickly as possible amid the public health emergency, we rolled out Telehealth.HHS.gov in just three weeks. The site aims to encourage the adoption of telehealth by both providers and patients. It provides critical resources for providers who didn't yet offer telehealth, and guidance for patients about where they can find telehealth care, and what they can expect.

Restoration: The Fall of the I-Hotel
PERSONAL PROJECT 2021 - 2024

Curtis Choy's 1983 documentary, "The Fall of the I-Hotel", was the source of my political awakening, which would eventually. lead me to a career at the intersection between politics, government, and technology. As an executive producer of this restoration, I was responsible for identifying a restoration house, working with the restoration house on logistics, and submitting the films to film festivals.

Anybody in the world has the right to request government records from the U.S. government thanks to the Freedom of Information Act. This important government transparency policy is critical to the work of many journalists, activists, and non-profit organizations, and is an important lever to ensure the accountability of the U.S. government. FOIA.gov was a major overhaul and reenvisioning of the DOJ's FOIA website.With hundreds of FOIA offices scattered all over the federal government, the goal of new FOIA.gov is to massively simplify the hyper-complicated process of figuring out where records requests should go.

For too many immigrants, the process of applying for American citizenship is complicated, confusing, and expensive. My team created the first online application for American citizenship. The new digital application was built to be easy, approachable, and unintimidating.
